19.-23.04.2010	Seoul, Korea	buildingSMART International Summit

15.-18.12.2009	London, UK	Build LONDON Live 2009 Build LONDON Live is an International design and collaboration competition, inviting teams to take 48 hours to go from requirements to detailed design proposal. Teams can be of any number of people and organisations, from across the architectural, engineering and construction industry.

08.-11.12.2009	Washington D.C., USA	AEC-ST Conference 2009 AEC3 will be leading demonstrations for software that has achieved stage 1 certification compliant with the FM Handover View. Challenge demonstrations will also be presented for energy input and reporting, HVAC equipment layout and specifiers property sets.

01.-03.10.2009	Istanbul, Turkey	CIB W078 Conference This is the 26th Annual Conference for this important CIB Working Group. Nicholas Nisbet of AEC3 is joining with Dr. Bill East to deliver a paper on "Lightweight Capture of Building Information". This will focus on using COBIE spreadsheets to quickly and easily capture the information and on use of the bimServices software application developed by AEC3 to transform information between various formats, constrain and filter the information for reporting. A second paper describes the findings about "IFC Support for Model-based Scheduling" that has been investigated in the InPro project. Authors are Matthias Weise and Thomas Liebich from AEC3, Jan Tulke from HOCHTIEF and Peter Bonsma from TNO.

23.09.2009	Berlin, Germany	buildingSMART Forum 2009 The buildingSMART Forum 2009 (13th Industry Day) is hosted by the Ministry of Transport, Building and Urbain Affairs. The conference will showcase successful use of Building Information Modeling in international and national projects and latest developments in software support for BIM and IFC in particular. AEC3 is part of the organizing committee and will present an overview on the benefits and challenges using BIM and buildingSMART methods.

26.06.2009	Porto, Portugal	A presentation on Building Information Modelling from a Contractors Perspective to a key group of contractors in Portugal [Jeffrey Wix]

15.05.2009	Zurich, Switzlerland	BIM keynote at the Swiss conference "2009 design & construction - future and visions" Zurich, Switzerland : The conference «2009 Planen und Bauen - Ausblick und Visionen» is organized by crb to celebrate the 50th birthday. The second day concentrates on the visions for future developments and Building Information Models is seen as a central part of a future roadmap for the Swiss design and construction industry. Thomas Liebich from AEC3 had been invited to make the BIM keynote speech.

13.05.2009	Paris, France	buildingSMART International Conference 2009

26.03.2009	Washington, DC, USA	Final Presentation of AECOO-1 testbed project to demontrate IFC based interoperability for energy analysis and quantity take off AEC3 provided guidance on using IFC & ifcXML methods and technology. AEC3 contributed the basic definitions of base quantities, earlier developed within the German Speaking buildingSMART activities and added to the common agreements on BIM to energy analysis exchange.

24.03.2009	Munich, Germany	3rd BIM User Roundtable AEC3 prepared and co-organised the user roundtable to promote the usage of BIM in the construction industry

10-12.03.2009	Espoo, Finland	11. Workshop for IFC2x3 Certification AEC3 supports the ongoing IFC quality improvement and certification efforts

26/27.11.2008	Salford, UK	Master Class A two day workshop at the University of Salford in the UK on how to develop IFC support for a business process using the ideas of the Information Delivery Manual. The workshop is for students and industry practitioners.

20/21.11.2008	Cork, Ireland	Master Class A two day workshop at University College Cork in Ireland on how to develop IFC support for a business process using the ideas of the Information Delivery Manual. The workshop is for students and industry practitioners.

23.10.2008	Lyon	2nd EU Innova Conference Following the success of the Build London Live event co-organised by AEC3 in June, there is an increasing demand to know more about how it was organised, how the teams performed and to see more of the results produced. The idea of Build London Live is close to the aims of competitiveness and innovation within the EU Innova programme. AEC3 will make a major presentation on Build London Live at the 2nd EU Innova Conference.
