ICCI - EU
The aim of ICCI is to improve harmonisation and coherence of research and development, and thereby to benefit efficiency in EU projects, assist knowledge transfer to industry, and reduce time to market of exploitation.
The role of AEC3 in the project is in helping to define industry requirements and needs in the global construction eBusiness. The key tool being used for this purpose is
the "Process Matrix", which is a library of processes typically undertaken on a construction project against which data, communication and other requirements can be established.
Originally developed by Jeffrey Wix in the ISTforCE project, the Process Matrix is now proving to be a valuable tool for analysing industry requirements
and identifying gaps in coverage by process and data models and by software applications.
